A banquet hall runs loud, often late, and usually sits inside a building or a neighbourhood that would rather not hear it.

Two problems meet here. The hall has to hold amplified music and a few hundred voices without becoming unintelligible, and the energy has to stay inside the building — including the low frequencies that carry furthest and complain loudest.
Holding the sound in
- Isolated construction where the hall shares a structure with rooms, flats or hotel floors above.
- Acoustic doors and lobbies at the entrances, so an open door does not undo the wall.
- Attenuated ventilation, sized for a full hall on a warm evening.
- Glazing and roof details checked, since these are often the weakest paths.
Making it work inside
A hard, tall hall turns a full room into noise. Absorption is placed to bring reverberation down without deadening the room, and the sound system is designed to cover the floor evenly at the levels actually used — so speeches are intelligible from the back and the dance floor still has weight.
Lighting and control
Stage and architectural lighting, DMX control and automation can be delivered with the same contract, with scenes set for the way the hall is actually used — dinner, speeches, dancing — and recalled by staff from a simple panel.
