An auditorium is the hardest room we build: it has to be intelligible for speech, generous for music, comfortable to sit in and workable for the people running it.

We take auditoria on as complete projects — design, guidance and a full study report for the requirement, then construction, systems and commissioning. Architects and interior designers are on our panel where the project needs them, and the sound and lighting are simulated in house before anything is built.
What the design settles
- Reverberation and clarity targets, set from what the hall is for.
- Room geometry, seating rake and sightlines.
- Surface treatment — where absorption goes, and where reflection is wanted.
- Sound system coverage across every seat, including balconies.
- Stage and house lighting, with the positions and power to support it.
- Projection or displays, sized for the furthest seat.
- Isolation from the foyer, the plant and the outside.
What you get before committing
A study report with the simulation output: how the hall will behave, what it needs, what it will cost, and what the alternatives would mean in performance terms.
And at the end
Commissioning with measured reverberation, isolation and coverage, plus training for the staff who will run the hall.
