A club system has to deliver real level on the floor and none of it into the flats upstairs. That is an acoustic problem before it is an equipment problem.

Clubs run loud, late, and usually inside mixed buildings. The system design and the isolation design are the same project: what the structure can take sets what the system can do, and both have to be settled before anything is bought.
Inside the room
- Coverage across the dance floor, with level held where people actually stand.
- Low-frequency systems positioned against the room rather than in the corners by default.
- Treatment so the room stays intelligible at the bar and in the seating.
- DJ and performer monitoring.
Keeping it in the building
- Floating floors and isolated construction where there is occupied space above or beside.
- Acoustic lobbies at the entrance, so the door does not become the loudspeaker.
- Attenuated ventilation, sized for a full room.
- Limiters set, where required, to a level agreed with the acoustic design rather than chosen at the desk.
The level a club can run at is decided by its structure. Better to know the number before the fit-out than after the first complaint.
